Nintendo DS Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4 Giveaway!

Harry Potter mania is in full force with the seventh movie (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1) setting record sales for the franchise.  For the Harry Potter fan in your life, we have a great giveaway.  Two winners will each get a copy of the Nintendo DS Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4 game!  To enter, simply leave a comment below telling us which movie in the franchise is your favorite.    To get more entries, "like" us on Facebook at this link:  Parent Grapevine Facebook Fan Page.   We will do a drawing using random.org on December 18th, Saturday.    All fans of our page qualify for an extra entry no matter when they "liked" our fan page.

Parent Grapevine had three kids, ranging in age from 12 to 19, test this game and by all accounts, this is a fun and captivating game that gives the player the experience of going through Hogwarts, Hogsmeade and the other main locations from the first four books.

What is nice is it is different than the Wii Lego game so the player does not feel like they are repeating the experience.

Some of the graphics and technical aspects are limited, and it does require the stylus.  You can choose to follow the storyline from beginning to end or go into "freeplay" after you've beaten a level.  My kids all gave the game 4 out of 5 stars.  It's a nice, kid-friendly game and here at Parent Grapevine we give it our seal of approval!

NOTE: Winners may not receive the game in time for Christmas, but we'll do our best to ship it as quickly as possible.
Disclaimer: Parent Grapevine received a copy of this game to test out, but our review is purely our own.

  1. My favorite movie in the Harry Potter series is the third, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. This movie is my favorite for several different reasons, but namely because it is the movie where my favorite Harry Potter character, Remus Lupin, has the biggest role. I thought this movie was the best of them all and it's still the one I watch most!

  3. My favorite Harry Potter movie is still the first one -- where we our first peek at that magical world of Hogwarts, the sorting hat, quidditch, brooms, wands, and Dubledore.
