Whether you're in the Northern California area for vacation or a stay-cation, there are a wide variety of theme parks to satisfy the roller-coaster thrill seeker in you.

From Bonfante Gardens in Gilroy to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, this area has it all.  Be sure to check with your company HR department for discount tickets, Costco, and even AAA (for Great America).  We highly recommend the Season Passes as your best value if you are a nearby resident.  For "day trippers", we recommend going to Santa Cruz's boardwalk where you can buy tickets by-the-ride.  You may just want to check out the Giant Dipper, the 5th oldest wooden roller coaster in America.
