Today it is raining cats and dogs. The winds are fiercely blowing, so much so that at times the rain comes down in horizontal sheets. As I ran errands today (yes, I braved the elements), I saw branches strewn across the roads, police cars sorting out traffic accidents and 2 ambulances. It is a day best spent inside a warm, dry home.
That is unless you are 8 years old. Inclement weather and travel advisories do not matter to little boys who want to get in a game of wall ball. Who cares if your feet get wet and the ball is slick? There are rainbows, skimmers, highwires, and black magic moves that need perfecting. Bad weather fades into the background when you've got a pal over and a game to play.
