The Retro Dome Kickstarter Campaign @theretrodome

At Parent Grapevine we are HUGE fans of The Retro Dome.  Check out their initiative to Kickstart their next production!

Guggenheim Entertainment | www.guggenheimentertainment.com
YOU'RE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN OUR
"KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN"
TO LAUNCH PRODUCTION OF OUR NEXT SHOW!
Dear Friends, Family, and Fans,
The Retro Dome Fans are the best and many of you have been asking how you can help build our company even further. We have given a lot of thought as to how to approach our fans to help us take the next step. We considered producing a benefit or hosting a fundraiser of some kind but realized the best way to keep the Dome alive is to keep creating great theatre, and asking for you to pledge your support so we can capitalize our next production, one we know you will be enamored by.

If you've been following the behind-the-scenes biz of The Retro Dome, you know we've been very busy creating a new live musical theatre production that utilizes everything we do best. "THANKS FOR PLAYING: THE GAME SHOW SHOW!" will feature a professional cast of actors and an accomplished team of designers. We will have audience participation, prizes, and of course, sensational music. The script is a celebration of the changing role of the female in American society during the '50s and '60s and showcases how television changed the world we live in. And of course, we’ll see a scandal erupt as we explore the world of Quiz Shows and Game Shows!

So What's The $64,000 Question?
Actually, for us, it's only a $50,000 question! To tell the truth, if the price is right we can create yet another critically-acclaimed production at The Retro Dome. So make a love connection with us! All it takes is a little concentration! And don't delay! To bring THANKS FOR PLAYING to life we have to beat the clock!

If just 500 fans give just $100, we'll reach our goal.
Now, in today's economy $100 might seem like a lot. Geez, for most of us $50 is a lot. So, to manage our fundraising campaign we're using KICKSTARTER, a resource that allows us to build rewards for giving; rewards like tickets you would probably have purchased anyway and perks like vouchers at the concessions stand and fun swag.

When you visit our KICKSTARTER page, you'll see many levels of giving, from $10.00 to $10,000, all of which come with rewards. As an example, for your pledge of $100, you'll receive:
  • a ticket to the performance
  • an official production t-shirt
  • an invitation to the first table reading of the script
  • a limited edition, collectible show poster autographed by the show's creators and original cast
  • a customized water bottle with the show brand imprint plus free refills for the life of the production
  • an MP3 of our theme song
And if you can give more, you can enjoy other "fabulous prizes" like a Walk-on Role in the show, product placement for your business, and (way better than "Lee Press-On Nails") you can even give enough to enjoy a private screening of your favorite movie with 250 of your closest friends at The Retro Dome.

Things to know before you decide whether or not to support our campaign:
  • All money raised through this campaign goes directly into creating our production, one which we hope will run for a long and enjoy a life similar to Beach Blanket Babylon.
  • We only have 30 days to reach our goal. If you're planning to help us reach our goal with a pledge, please act now! Our project must reach its funding goal before time runs out or no money changes hands. Why? It protects everyone involved. This way, we aren't expected to develop the project with an insufficient budget.

We are very excited about this project. We are throwing everything we have into it - decades of experience, all of our energy, and all of our resources to bring a new musical to life at The Retro Dome, that may very well enjoy a life beyond The Retro Dome stage. Please join us in bringing THANKS FOR PLAYING from the page to the stage!
