Project Vision 12/2012 - Step Ten: Achieving your Dream

Earlier this year I set out to make a number of goals for myself.  I wrote them down, I declared them out loud, and took small steps to get there.  Today I am beginning to see the fruits of my labor taking shape.  It's purely remarkable how making declarations with true passion can become realized.

Some of the small steps I took was to get a mentor.  I sought out a particular mentor who was skilled in areas that I had not mastered.  He has kindly taken me under his wing.  Secondly, I took an amazing photography class.  I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but I ended up becoming totally enthralled.  I not only learned some lifelong photography skills, I put them into practice right away which resulted in a new long-term relationship with a client that is taking me in a new direction.  Lastly, I began writing after a 6-month hiatus.  It's been great.  It's helped me get back into the groove.  I am rejuvenated.

I write this here for all to read because I recognize that it is indeed true.  If you declare your vision and goals out loud, if you take small steps every day to believe - you will most certainly start achieving your dreams because your heart begins finding those opportunities to get you there.  Because it was meant to be.

I see how my friends who set goals, who declared their dreams out loud or who told just a few friends of their desires that the act of declaring set things in motion.  They got hired in positions that fit like a glove, they traveled to the place they had always dreamed of going, they moved to a new city to start a begin life.  And it all started out by making a declaration out loud and believing in their dreams.

What small steps are you taking to reach your dreams?
