Check out how Safeway is helping you save money. They have introduced a way to save grocery money AND at the gas pump at the same time. How does it work? Take a look at the photo below to see how your spending adds up to savings at the pump:

For every dollar you spend at Safeway your points begin to add up. Points are redeemed in increments of 100. The level you save at the pump is based on the points you've accumulated.
Where can you get these gas rewards redeemed? Not every gas station participates. That might be the most difficult part of the program because believe me, racking up the points is easy if you have a family of 5 like I do. To find out where your closest gas station click here to enter your zip code and get a list of the gas stations near you.
If you're traveling by car this summer you can plan ahead and check out which gas stations are participating.
I recently went shopping at Safeway, which is just a half mile from where I live. My average grocery bill is about $70 each time I go. Those points begin to add up quickly. Plus my college daughter who lives in another city can use my rewards card and help me earn more points.
I'm close to a Chevron station that participates in the program. When you pull up to the pump just enter your Safeway card number or telephone number that you use at Safeway to get your rewards.
If you go to a participating station you will have the option at the pump to enter your Safeway information. From there it will tell you if you have gas rewards to redeem. It's that easy.
So spend a little and save a lot. It all adds up.
