Fortune Magazine ranks The Container Store as the 16th best place to work in the U.S. Why? Because of the hourly pay, benefits - and well, because they have 10,000 incredible products to choose from. Well, the number of products might not be why it's a great place to work, but that certainly makes it a great place to shop. And now there's a new location popping up in the San Francisco Bay area, in Palo Alto within the Stanford Shopping Center.
The Palo Alto Store marks the company's 61st store since it first opened in 1978 in Dallas, Texas. Back then they were offering products that consumers loved to help keep their messy and unorganized life contained. Now, with the digital age and tons of cords, gizmos and paraphernalia it's even more important to organize our lives with the wide array of products The Container Store provides.
They even have a staff of people who can help you create an organized closet, office or garage. Just walk in and discuss your needs with their creative and talented crew. Or call ahead and make an appointment. Bring photos of your space and ideas about what you want to achieve. They will help you make it happen. They also have installers who can come to your home and put everything together for you.
I love to pick up stocking stuffers from The Container Store for my kids. And now that two of my kids are in college I'm thinking of containers to put their CARE packages in. So that way not only will they receive some goodies whether they are baked or bought, they will also have a container to reuse for all the things they collect at school to help keep their belongings organized and orderly. I especially keen about the Lego containers since two of my daughters love Legos. And don't forget the wrapping aisle. So much to choose from.
For the worldly traveler there are a number of convenient products that make packing and unpacking a breeze. My family travels and lot and I saw a bunch of products including the convenient travel size bottles that firmly shut tight to prevent leakage. And the very handy Pack-It folders that keep your clothes wrinkle free. This also helps save space in your luggage and time since you won't have to iron your clothes when you reach your destination!
During the Grand Opening in Palo Alto they will be having all sorts of giveaways and goodies. Plus best of all they will be having a $1000 Elfa Makeover and Installation Giveaway. What's not to like about that? Everyone can use some sort of custom home organizer solution.
So check out The Container Store if you're in the Bay Area. It's right next to Nordstrom's and Crate ^ Barrel. It's the place to shop for gifts, stocking stuffers and well, containers!
