Looking for a fun way to tour San Francisco with your kids? A way to keep them entertained while seeing many of SF's historic neighborhoods? Then you should check out the Ride the Ducks Land and Sea Adventure.
I had a great time with my kids a few years back and you can read about our adventure here. This year I was given the opportunity to go again but due to prior commitments was unable to make it. Instead I was able to send a good friend and her two sons ages 7 & 9 and they absolutely loved it!
They thought it was a terrific way to see the city (the tour goes through neighborhoods including: Union Square, China Town, Ghiradelli Square, North Beach, SOMA, South Beach, The Ferry Building and more.. ) and they found the driver to be informative and funny. His jokes kept the kids engaged and entertained.
And of course they loved the "quackers." What boy doesn't love noise makers?
As it was for my kids, the highlight of their trip was when the boat splashed down into the bay and the boys were all given the opportunity to steer the ship. There is something about being at the helm of the boat that makes every kid beam.
Ride the Ducks tours depart from Fisherman's Wharf and run rain or shine. For additional details please check out the Ride the Ducks San Francisco site.
Disclosure: Ride the Ducks SF provided my friend and her boys with a complimentary trip. We all thank them for their generosity!
