Last weekend I had a fantastic time with a group of friends in San Francisco. Yes, we had a Girls Night Out or I guess more of a Mom's Night Out in The City!
Our little getaway started out with several hours of shopping at 888 Brannan (formerly known as The Gift Center), followed by a few in room cocktails and dinner out at Slanted Door (YUM!!). Oh and of course a nightcap at the Redwood Room in the Clift Hotel.
Every part of the day was fantastic. From deciding on what color Pashmina to buy, to trying on big (I mean BIG) cocktail rings, to enjoying delicious lemon drops and shaking beef we all had a great time. Two of the girls/moms even brought fun items that made us all feel like teenagers.... false eyelashes and a huge make-up tray. With a little help from our friends, we all got beautified (oh how I love those lashes) and hit the town.
I gotta say, a night away was good for this mother's soul. To spend time with wonderful friends and leave the carpooling, soccer game schlepping, and dinner planning behind is something every mom needs to do once in awhile.
