Seeking Harry Potter: Is Your Child a Harry Potter Fanatic?

At one of the entrances to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
My three daughters, ranging in age from 12 to 18, are Harry Potter FANATICS.  It all started when my eldest daughter was introduced to the series by my mother.  She was only nine at the time.  But ever since she read that first book her imagination caught fire and now all three of my daughters have been wonderfully transformed into voracious readers because of this magical series.

I don't mind that they gravitate toward reading Harry Potter books more than once as long as they are reading and not watching TV or playing their Wii (unless it is their Lego Harry Potter game).

Is your child (or you) a Harry Potter "Manatic" (cross between a Fanatic and Maniac)?  If you can check off at least seven items on this list, you can consider yourself a full-fledge Potter Manatic:
  1. Read all seven books at least three times (and of course owns the entire series and has a few British versions in their mix as well)
  2. Viewed all of the movies released thus far and can recite the lines word for word, faithfully
  3. Subscribes to or twitters with the Leaky Caudron, Mugglenet and the JK Rowling Website (or writes for these blogs), and has the Harry Potter or Warner Brothers fan page on Facebook
  4. Has the Harry Potter Lego Years 1-4 game
  5. Has already been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando (check out my review of the theme park) or has plans to attend in the next several months.
  6. Does not say the name "Voldemort" when referencing Harry Potter's nemesis
  7. Plans to dress up in some sort of Harry Potter robe for Halloween (check out this great Harry Potter sewing pattern on Burdastyle)
  8. Has seen both Harry Potter Musicals on You Tube (or in person) by Star Kid Potter
  9. Tunes into Potter Puppet Pals on You Tube
  10. Has been to at least one midnight book release
This list can actually go on for quite awhile, but if your child (or you) can identify with the top ten here, you know you can actually call yourself a Potter Maniac.  I believe that means you are not a Muggle but not quite a Wizard.

What other spells or potions can you think of that cast the Harry Potter Fanatic charm on your child?
