Tangled--Your Kids Will Love It!

Recently my blogging partner and I had the opportunity to take our kids to a prescreening of Disney's latest (and fantastic) animated film Tangled (to read her review click here).    


When I told my four kids that we were going to this special event, my daughter was thrilled but my 3 boys were less than enthused.   Their comment was "that's a movie for girls."   Needless to say I brought them to the showing and they were pleasantly surprised to see that Tangled was a movie that everyone (even boys) would enjoy!

Tangled is action packed and full of hilarious characters which instantly grabbed all of my kids' attention.  They loved the super cop horse, Maximus (who has canine tendencies) and found the band of pub thugs extremely funny--a diaper wearing thug is bound to make anyone giggle.  And we all loved the over-protective chameleon, Pascal.


To give you a quick synopsis of the movie.....
The story takes place in a kingdom where the most wanted (and most charming) bandit, Flynn Ryder (voice of Zachary Levi) tries to hide out in a mysterious tower only to be taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of Mandy Moore), a beautiful, feisty teenager who has been locked up in the tower all of her life.  And she has 70 feet of magical, golden hair!


Rapunzel strikes a deal with Flynn and the two set off on an action-packed escapade, complete with Maximus, Pascal, and those nutty pub thugs.


So if you have sons who think this movie is "just for girls," tell them to open up and give it a chance.  It really is a fantastic movie that everyone (young or old, boy or  girl) will love.
